The L2 IMS Core engineer will be part of the IMS Core Operations team, managing VFQA IMS nodes,I/A-SBC, MGCF, IMS MGW and roaming operations and IMS-HSS Front-end platform, maintaining a 24/7 superior network KPIs with high availability of 99.99%, achieving quality leadership in a very competitive market. Being a multi-vendor environment, he/she has to perform vendor management for incident management and SLA negotiations as per the Vodafone policies.
With us you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and 2nd level operational support of the wireless network platforms.
Analyze daily and weekly health checks reports for IMS Core domain and proactively responding to degraded KPIs and alarms within the acceptable SLA limits
Responsible for maintaining E2E measurement data and network KPIs within agreed OLAs & SLAs, ensuring network reliability and availability with minimal MTTR through promoting strong incident and proactive problem management practices
Provide on-site level 2 operations and maintenance support when needed, Incident and Problem management, applying proper corrective actions to restore the service
Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) through Major Incident Reviews (MIR) with the Vendors and update KEDB documentations
Participate in carrying out Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Major Incident Reviews (MIR)
Develop method of procedures for various IMS Core services and change requests, utilizing automation scripts and tools to simplify operations (Example: SOAP, XML, Shell, Expect, Python, Perl., PowerCli, Chef, Puppet, Teraforme…)
Deploy & Integrate new nodes, roaming agreements, execute & oversee acceptance process (CSCF, SBC, HSS, TAS HLR, SDM, BGCF, i-BCF, i-BGF, A-BCF, A-BGF, MGCF, etc..), support Networks teams in various projects
Execute and validate SW and HW bug fixes, release upgrades and expansions
Responsible for Network Audit, Operational performance, Capacity, Trend, Risk and Gap analysis
Supported repair and return activities, spare part management
Participate in an on-call Rota and flexible working hours (Night shifts as required)
المهارات
Apply if you have..
Degree in Telecom/Data/Computer Networking Engineering or related specialization
Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing IMS Core networks with telecom networks
Knowledge on Telco cloud networking, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and software defined networking (SDN)
Preferably ITIL foundation certified with good understanding of ITIL Service Operation
Multi-vendor Interoperability experiences (Huawei/Nokia/Ericsson/Net Number/Mavenir/Cisco EPC)
Preferably with strong background in Nokia IMS Core nodes.
Good knowledge of IP networking skills: IP L2 Switching, L3 Dynamic Routing, OSPF, BGP, VPN Light.
Basic Knowledge in ETSI NFV Architecture standard: NFV-SOL002, NFV-SOL003, NFV-SOL005, NFV-SEC022, NFV-SOL013.
Preferable knowledge of NFV 2.0 Vmware Solution: vCenter, NSX-v, NSX-T, VCLOUD Director, vRealize solutions, and Nokia CBAM VNF Manager, Openstack, architecture (Neutron, Nova, Glance, Keystone, … )an Containers
Expert knowledge of IMS Core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, 3GPP TISPAN, GSMA IR, IEEE and ETSI, IETF standards, outstanding troubleshooting skills using internal/external tracing tools, Wireshark, IRIS, Tektronix, etc.
Expert knowledge of IMS Core Application Part protocols: SIP, SDP, H248, Diameter, CAP, MAP. GTPv2
Expert Knowledge in IMS Use Cases: VoLTE, VoWIFI, VoBB, VoPots, SIP Phones, BRA/PRA PBX, IP PBX, SIP Trunking, and Centrex Services
Expert Level in User Plane Protocol and Transcoding: RTP, RTCP, secure RTP. Codec Transcoding, Codecs: AMR-WB, AMR2, UMTS AMR, G711a/u, FR AMR, HR AMR
