DCA is currently looking for a Logistic and Procurement Assistant (LPA) in Tripoli to assist with the ongoing procurement and logistics for the Humanitarian Mine Action Programme’s implementation of contracts from EuropeAid and the Dutch government. The main responsibility of the Procurement and Logistics Assistant is to ensure correct and effective management and implementation of the DCA Procurement Manual and donor requirements in projects in Libya. DCA is offering a job that will make a difference and improve the lives of people living at risk from Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) and assist in the reconstruction of societies after conflict. The LPA will refer to an International Logistic Manager in Libya. Further technical support and oversight is to be provided by the assigned desk officer in the Procurement and Logistics Unit in DCA HQ. The position is intended to convert to National Logistic Manager after 6 months The LPA will have the following overall responsibilities: • Finalise procurement on existing grants and ensure that adequate documentation is filed for all procurement in accordance with EU and DCA guidelines Applicants are expected to have the following qualifications: • At least 3 years of experience from similar logistical operations DCA offers: All interested persons irrespective of age, gender or ethnic affiliation are encouraged to apply for this vacancy. |
