Estimator, Body Shop
Assess the damage and prepare an estimate (parts numbers, parts quantity required, parts prices, parts availability, paint materials information and cost, labor hours and costs, consumables, any subcontracted jobs)
Meeting and establishing rapport with customers, justifies needed repairs and costs, and follow up with customers
Estimating damage to vehicles visually
Completing estimate sheets to document damage and repairs required and work/repair orders to itemize parts and materials required
Calculating labor and painting costs to determine the total cost of repairs
Assigning repair orders to Production Coordinator
Evaluating the quality of repair jobs by Technicians and, if necessary, returns vehicles for additional work if they do not meet quality standards
Understanding insurance company estimates of repairs and checks them for accuracy and comprehensiveness
