Head Nurse-

الوصف الوظيفي
The Head Nurse has a twenty-four hour responsibility for the clinical operation their designated areas. They should effectively plan, manage and deploy staff as necessary in their area of work. They should work closely with relevant medical staff and other departments of the Hospital. They are responsible for the monitoring of clinical resources to ensure that optimum benefit for the patient is achieved.

1.  Provides practical clinical guidance for their staff on matters of patient care following the policy and procedure guidelines of the Department.

2.  Continues to upgrade their own clinical knowledge and skills by themselves performing patient care and reading the current Nursing literature provided.

3.  The Head Nurse must be personally involved in the clinical evaluation of their staff by monitoring them, a on a regular basis, when they are involved with patient care.

4.  Identifies areas of concern and then discusses problem solving measures with the Nurse Manager.

5.  Works together with other support services to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients by following the guidelines as set by these departments.

6.  Is aware of the Hospital Mission and makes a conscious effort, on a daily basis to promote good customer relations with all persons in the Hospital, especially the patients and their relatives

7.  Participates in promoting good customer relations with patients, staff, Medical staff,

visitors and their peers by using good communication skills.
