MEP Planning Engineer

General Summary:

Perform comprehensive Project Planning, Scheduling, Progress Monitoring, Provide Early Warnings and Intervention and Project Reporting activities necessary to achieve the successful execution of the assigned Project from initiation to close-out.

Duties & Responsibilities

Set targets for activities based on each phase of a project plan and ensure it meets client’s specifications.
Works with all project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
Responsible for total integration of schedule activities.
Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or group restraints and interfaces.
Supervises and directs obtaining required schedule information for all disciplines.
Supervises identifying of schedule restraints and effect on total project schedule.
Plans, organizes and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling.
Integrates appropriate manpower requirements for each discipline/specialty relative to overall project needs.
Determines quantity and manpower levels in support of project needs and schedule philosophy.
Supervises project schedule, manpower and quantity reporting. Responsible for preparing and presenting Critical Items Action Report.
Supervises project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
Interfaces with project site management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks.
Provides comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control.
In certain circumstances may be required assist in performing some cost engineer functions.
Perform other task assigned by the management.

المهارات
Bachelor Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
Experience with minimum 10 + years in progressively responsible Project Management roles preferably in MEP Industry.
Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Middle East operations and projects.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Ability to communicate and work using English.
Ability to accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
Supervision level experience in the field of planning and scheduling.
Computer literate especially with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access (all essential).
