Job Objective: (System Administrator):

Perform all necessary Design/Engineering/Configuration/Testing & Commissioning activities to allow the delivery of various Airport systems including co-ordination with all stakeholders & integration with related systems.

:Roles & Responsibilities

In close coordination with the System Engineering Manager, the Project Manager, the lead engineer, and the other team members, he will be responsible for all the activities relevant to IT Hardware and Software.

The System Engineer will:

Analyze the Technical Project Scope of Works relevant to IT Hardware and Software
Co-ordinate & collect all necessary data collection input for IT Hardware and Software system design
Conduct and perform design for the IT Hardware and Software system
Ensure production of adequate detailed design & engineering documentation.
Prepare the technical part of the Requests for Quotations for each material/service
Produce technical submittal, procedures & manuals
Produce design and interface control documents
Co-ordinate all the activities concerning potential technical Variations of Scope of Work
Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Prepare and conduct the training program for the Customer/End User
Ensure adequate technical support to onsite activities
Participate to Project Meetings (internal and external)

Work Experience and Required Skills:

Experience in design & delivery of IT Hardware & Software systems for Airport or large-scale infrastructure projects
Proven experience as a System Administrator
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Candidates shall have strong leadership and team working skills and capabilities to work under pressure meeting the project time lines and quality

Qualification:

Engineering graduate (Preferably Electronics, IT/ computer Science)
5 years experience in the design and configuration of IT Hardware & Software in an airport environment or large-scale infrastructure projects
