Responsible for assisting in the management of the distribution function which encompasses distribution management, providing direction, expertise and support throughout Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons in order to meet agreed internal customer service levels in a professional and cost-efficient manner as per Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons predefined standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of the strategic objectives and KPIs for the Distribution Department in line with the Company’s strategic goals and ensure that the Distribution Department’s employees are working towards the achievement of these objectives.
Review the operating results of the Distribution Department and follow-up to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct insufficient results.
Assist in the development of the Distribution Department budget and maintain approved budget to ensure all Distribution activities are within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities.
Assist in the development and ensure the implementation of the Distribution Department established policies and procedures and comply with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons other policies.
Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures in coordination with the direct manager.
Oversee all activities pertaining to Distribution and ensure the implementation of the same in an accurate, efficient and effective manner in order to ensure timely receival of products and goods by customers while maintaining customer satisfaction at all times.
Oversee the delivery times and transport costs and coordinate and control the order cycle for all Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons products and goods.
Implement and ensure proper use of data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements.
Ensure complete order cycle for all Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons is well managed, and orders are picked correctly, loaded correctly as per Sales Order and delivered as per Sales Order.
Ensure needed allocation and management of staff resources according to the changing needs and requirements of Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons business.
Assist in the development of ongoing business processes by analyzing distribution problems and producing new solutions.
Continually recommend initiatives pertaining to improvement and development business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.
Engage drivers and warehouse staff to ensure on-time and complete deliveries.
Review and monitor distribution cost to drive the business toward efficient delivery costs per unit handled and delivered as per Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery Business needs.
Assist in the Integration of the distribution operations with other concerned key functional areas.
Plan, direct and monitor assigned department compliance with International Standardization Organization (ISO) procedures, government regulations, company policies, and applicable standards.
Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
Investigate, manage inputs and recommend action to be taken when there are weaknesses in internal controls or compliance issue with set policies and procedures.
Identify manpower requirements of the Distribution Department and Coordinate with the Human Resources & Administration Department and Distribution Manager on all recruiting activities.
Conduct annual employee performance appraisals of the Distribution employees.
Identify the needs of the Distribution employees to ensure all relevant experience and knowledge is transferred to employees to ensure a highly skilled and high-performance workforce.
Instruct Distribution employees through their daily activities and assist in their development of technical skills.
Provide Distribution employees with feedback on their performance to enable staff development.
Prepare and submit periodic reports to direct management pertaining to Distribution activities and any issues that may arise.
Prepare and submit Distribution consumption report, manpower status report to the Distribution manager.
المهارات
Bachelor’s in Business Management or a related field.
Master’s in Business Management would be an advantage.
Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in the same or related field
