Statistical Research Specialist

Key Role
The Statistical Research Specialist has the responsibility of developing and managing information to support the Graduate Studies and Research decision making process. In addition, the position holder should provide technical support to the different tasks carried out by the GSR units.
Responsibilities
* Develops and manages information to support the Graduate Studies and Research in decision making * Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports * Define new process improvement opportunities * Manages and improves existing reporting systems * Performs complex analyses * Conducts and facilitates analyses, issues identification, organizational risk assessment, and decision-making processes * Provides consulting and analytic services to the Graduate Studies and Research * Develops methodology and processes for prioritization and scheduling for the Graduate Studies Office * Analyzes problems and determines root causes * Works closely with all Graduate Studies and Research Office units to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture
Qualifications

Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
Experience:
* Three+ years data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software usage/development, or equivalent
Technical Skills:
* Advanced analytical knowledge of data, conducting big data analysis, developing software and data models (as needed), proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research method, demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, 3+ years’ experience in mining data, technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries and reports.
Personal Skills:
* Interpersonal relations, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, strategic thinking, ability and willingness to learn new concepts.
Language:
* (English and Arabic proficiency). Effective oral and written communication skills.
