IP Network Specialist

Responsibilities:

Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
Configure routing and switching equipment, IP voice services and firewalls
Operate and maintain the IP network delivering IP data, voice and video
Ensure IP network support of new and existing services and features
Offer engineering solutions based on a thorough understanding of Data Network architecture, topology and other configuration details
Escalate problems quickly with thorough troubleshooting of all IP network issues
Maintain a record of engineering solutions, such as detailed engineering requirements, detailed reference design, and detailed integration test plan documents
Use system, security, and network monitoring tools

المهارات
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience with a large IP network
Cisco qualifications, minimum CCNP. CCIE is a plus
Must have routing and switching experience
Knowledge of Firewall principles, able to work with well know firewalls (ASA, Paloalto, Fortigate…etc.)
Knowledge on MPLS, BGP, OSPF protocols, Firewall rules and best practices
Fluent written and spoken English skills. The Arabic skills will be Plus
Good communication skills and team work oriented
