Job Purpose
Responsible for promote medicines to Healthcare Professionals (Doctors) including contacting potential Doctors, identifying their needs, persuading them that medicines provided by the company can best satisfy their needs and closing the sale agreement by agreeing the terms and conditions in line with company rules and regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Medical Representative Activities
Contact potential doctors’ offices to sell medicines in line with the doctors’ requirements.
Arrange appointments with doctors to conduct an introductory presentation pertaining to the range of medicines provided by the company.
Attain and exceed annual sales target set by the Sales Manager to increase the company’s revenues.
Build relationships with Doctors to better understand and fulfil their requirements in an efficient manner.
Improve medicine knowledge and sales techniques through continuous learning and keeping up with technical and medical trends.
Maintain awareness of market trends and research competitors to ensure that the company’s Pharmaceuticals Division is a market leader.
Gathers, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop forecasts regarding potential customers and sales.
Receive orders and arrange, follow up for the entire sales cycle up to medicine delivery to respective Doctors in timely manner.
Maintain awareness of market trends by understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, competitive products, legislation and brand awareness.
Build external networks to understand market trends & competitor activity that will allow the company to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
Create new ideas by providing better growth opportunities, and other motivational tools (Competitive Prices) to retain existing customers and attract new customers.
Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
§ Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in the same or related field.
Sales experience in multi-unit and multi-geographic locations would be an advantage.
Holds a driving license.
