INSPECTION SUPERVISOR ( Plant Inspection)

Purpose:

Direct and supervise routine inspection activities of Pressure Vessels, Static Equipment, Tanks and other utilities in the Plant. Perform and supervise routine and Shut Down inspection activities and Plant Turn Around jobs as per the schedule. Submit detailed Technical Inspection Reports by evaluating the condition of the equipment whenever it was subjected to inspection.

Co-ordinate with Mechanical Department for proper material selection for various applications. Conducts tests and exercises control on critical activities related to maintenance of Boilers and other critical equipment.

Job responsibilities:

a.  Attending Non-Destructive Testing during normal routine inspection, Turn Around and during plant maintenance.

b.  Inspection of integrity of Static Equipment and Rotating Equipment as per Inspection Engineer’s instruction.

c.  Attending inspection of Boilers, Static Equipment, Tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers etc. and submit Technical Reports.

d.  Participate in any HSE activity the company arranges, Like Emergency Evacuation Drill and other exercises etc.

e.  Get familiar with the general HSE Rules, Safe Work Standards, General Procedures and those specifically relating to the field jobs.

f.  Perform other related duties as and when assigned.

g.  Assist Inspection Engineer for the Inspection of Static Equipment and Rotating Equipment during routine Inspection, unit stoppage and Turn Around.

h.  Attending stage inspection jobs while performing new Rubber lining, rubber lining patch repairs on Storage Tanks and records the test results.

i.  Attending inspection jobs of Boilers, Static Vessels, Tanks as per the Inspection Engineers instructions.

j.  Follow the Work Instructions and work details issued by the concerned Supervisor and / or Engineer and execute the jobs.

k.  Completes all the Safety Permits and formalities before proceeding with the job.

l.  Attend Non-Destructive Testing on the Equipment and piping as per the instructions of the Inspection Engineer. NDT tests include -Dye penetrant test, magnetic particle test, Ultrasonic flaw detection of weld joints and corrosion related flaw detection, Decide the scope of Radiography of weld joints and radiography films review, Eddy current testing and IRIS tube thickness survey

m.  Attend Rubber Lining inspection jobs as per the Inspection Engineers instructions.

n.  Follow Safety Rules and Regulations laid by the company.

o.  Use all the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) necessarily to be used for the job perform or while move around in the plants/premises.

Qualification:

v Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.

v Must have minimum 8 years’ experience in plant Inspection field.

Devise work methods according to professional Engineering standards, Codes and general guidelines.
Acquire good knowledge in International Codes and Standards.
Attain good Knowledge of Computer applications
Must be able to read and write English language. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
