Vehicle Tracking System Controller (VTS)

Vehicle Tracking controller will be responsible for operating and maintaining the vehicle tracking system used by Citybus to monitor vehicles, drivers and inspectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates Vehicle Tracking system, which entails monitoring and maintaining the system’s database of vehicles and drivers.
Monitor speeding, idling and engine door alerts and suitably act upon them.
To ensure that accurate daily records are generated and submitted to the VTS Supervisor / manager on a daily basis.
To achieve maximum levels of schedule compliance on all bus routes .
To resolve issues pertaining to route deviations.
Enters and maintains landmark information in database for location and identification of all vehicles and bus stops within Citybus’ operating network.
To liaise with drivers and breakdown team for necessary requirements and follow-ups.
Assist on-road service delivery team by providing vehicle locations, expected arrival times, traffic blockages and rerouting of vehicles
To take into consideration all company policies, procedures, and standards and to maintain records of same.
Provides on-demand detailed reports of vehicle locations and times and driver performance from the GPS database.
Maintain positive and constructive working relationships with other members of the operations and workshop team.
To undertake other reasonable tasks requested by the VTS Supervisor/ Manager or other Managers within the Company.

Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience

Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

• Written and verbal Arabic communication skills desired

• Achievement oriented.

• Accountability.

• Ability to work effectively with constant interruptions and meet scheduled time lines. Ability to treat information, data and records confidentially Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of computerized data management systems such as Microsoft Access desired Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products

• Ability to operate a computer with speed and accuracy

• Some knowledge of the operation and scheduling of vehicles desired Knowledge of Kuwait road system and bus network desired
