Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and take over major reporting and reconciliation duties for our company. We’re a company operating business in real estate, manufacturing and construction within the GCC. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for heading the finance department and reporting directly to the CFO. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas. Senior Accountant Responsibilities include:
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements
Preparation of monthly cash flow and other financial reports including budgeting and forecasting
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues
Review inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Conduct regular ledger maintenance
Establish a proper filing system for client invoices, supplier invoices, petty cash bills, banks, business correspondence, bank payments etc

Minimum 5 year’s experience in the same position
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
Control banking transactions and maintain banking records & reconciliations
Preparation of P&L;and balance sheet
Preparation of pay roll and other employee benefit payments
Handle debtors and creditors
Assist auditors in finalizing year end accounts
Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Advanced MS Excel skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Awareness of business trends
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Good command of the English Language
