• Assist the professor/s in the smooth conduct of the course
• Undertake tutorial and support sessions and hold weekly office hours as instructed by the course professor/s.
• Prepare study materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations
• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
• Supervising College or student activities.
• Grade homework, course assignments, exams, or projects
• Prepare, copy and distribute reading material or supplementary notes.
• Maintain grade records of students both in the lecture and the tutorial sessions
• Creating technology-based learning materials.
• Develop instructional materials.
• Returning assignments to students in accordance with established deadlines.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
• Attend and contribute to meetings or events relating to the department.
• Preparing the tutorial answer keys and upload the files to system application (Moodle).
• Provide revision classes for the new registration students.
• Assist in the development of the future Faculty / Dean of Faculty.
• Any other task assigned to you by your Head of Department
• Scheduling and maintaining regular office hours to meet with students.
• Scheduling instructional activities.
• Inform students of the procedures for completing and submitting class work, such as assignments etc.
• Proctoring examinations.
• Notifying instructors of errors or problems with assignments.
• Meeting with Faulty to discuss students’ issues or grades or to complete required grade-related paperwork.
• Discuss problems or issues with supervisors.
• Attending lectures given by the instructor whom they are assisting.
• Attending training sessions or professional meetings to develop or maintain professional knowledge.
• Guiding the FYP projects.
• Assisting faculty members with student conferences and projects or research.
• Teaching responsibilities for the Department may change over time, and will be assigned by your Head of Department as determined by the needs of the Department.
المهارات
• Master degree in Mathematics from a reputed University
• Minimum 3-4 years’ teaching experience in related programs preferably in higher education
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in the English language
• Good class room management skills
• Ability to make a good impression on students
• Professional attitude towards work and colleagues
• Respect for diversity
• Organizational and planning skill
