For their flagship lighting product as an energy conservation in industrial automation they are seeking for an experienced Business Development Manager.
Job Description:
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing market share, driving business in the Levant and North Africa and forging relationships with distributors and government agencies. Working closely with the CEO, the incumbent will have the full market responsibilities and will work under penetration strategy as presented and agreed with senior management for each respective country.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the CEO establish, develop and support in executing specific customer strategies and market development plans to drive sales growth in the Levant and North Africa
Assists in setting up and growing Company’s sales network by identifying new customers, providing cost-efficient lighting solutions to industrial existing buildings or lighting systems and establishing credibility with potential partners and customers in the markets
Develop and present energy efficient lighting proposals post site assessments and customers’ inquiries and prepare feasibility study to show ROI on the proposed projects
Forge relationships with distributors, government agencies and business partners for alternative energy lighting and network in the lighting market in order to increase and win market share
Oversee proper installation process and deliver projects on time and within budget
Research and work out a cost-efficient process of receiving proper product certification according the countries’ rules and regulations
Present annual budget per country, develop an entry strategy for the new countries of interest and track progress and actual versus forecasted amounts
Generate activities to gather key information and leveraging available internal and external resources within the region to create a sustainable competitive advantage
Participate in the development, progression, and execution of the sales contract negotiation and approval process
Provide regular updates and reports, including sales pipeline activities, volume forecasting, key account status, market conditions, competitive activity updates, sales results and participation in team meetings.
Efficiently and pro-actively manage customer relationships, provide quotations and respond to technical enquiries and provide excellent post-sales support
Manage workflow of the whole sales and tendering process starting from customer presentations, internal reports, sales charts, and other forecast plans related to sales activities
Responsible for customer support during entire project order cycle from initial lead development to finalization of payment
Requirements:
Previous experience in the LED lighting sales and business development is required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college must
Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience in GCC, Levant or North Africa
Sound technical background in electrical equipment
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Professional demeanor with strong and reliable work ethic
Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Strong presentation skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is must
Experience in complex and project driven sales
Demonstrated record of sales success, with consistent increase in responsibility and duties
Self-starter with ability to multi-task
Organized and detail-oriented skills
Ability to travel within designated areas
