Home Care Nurse / Caregiver - Male Candidates

The primary purpose of the care giver maintains the standard of professional nursing practice in home care. They are responsible for assessing and providing care within the scope of their educational preparation and knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

• Preparation and administration of oral medication

• Assist patient with daily routines from getting out of bed, bathing, meals, and in the bathroom as needed.

• Daily patient monitoring to ensure vital signs during home care, blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature

• Monitoring and recording of blood glucose levels

• Preparation and/or administration of medications

• Light housekeeping, such as making the bed and

changing beddings, cleaning the patient’s bathroom if necessary
• Day-to-day support for a patient

• Ability to assess mental status

• Full time live-in nurse caregiver
