Job Description and Requirements
JOB PURPOSE
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a Laboratory Technician to provide technical support to faculty and lab engineers in conducting the various laboratory experiments and maintenance tasks.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Prepare the lab experiments and equipment for the assigned laboratories as well as prepare and arrange the required test samples, equipment and tools
Arrange and clean the lab tools and equipment after experiments
Follow up on equipment functionality and evaluation
Support laboratory engineers in conducting tests and operating the equipment
Help in training the students on equipment and lab tests
Assist faculty, lab engineer and students with various projects (preparing of materials and equipment as needed)
Supporting civil engineering students in workshop projects
