Overall Purpose of Role:
Manages all aspects of support within the Information Technology Infrastructure including Project Implementation, Management of Information Systems, Data Processing Systems, Business Continuity Systems, IP Telephony & Communication Network and Cloud Administration.
Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:
The management of the IT infrastructure and resources required to plan for, develop, deliver and support IT services and products to meet the needs of a business. The preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process and the maintenance of regulatory, legal and professional standards. The management of performance of systems and services in terms of their contribution to business performance and their financial costs and sustainability. The management of bought-in services. The development of continual service improvement plans to ensure the IT infrastructure adequately supports business needs.
Takes responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance (including storage and communication of data, voice, text, audio and images) and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance. Provides technical management of an IT operation, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant procedures are adhered to. Schedules and supervises all maintenance and installation work. Ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers. Ensures that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current.
The planning, control and management of all the facilities which, collectively, make up the IT estate. This involves provision and management of the physical environment, including space and power allocation, and environmental monitoring to provide statistics on energy usage. Encompasses physical access control, and adherence to all mandatory policies and regulations concerning health and safety at work.
Develops and maintains the standards, processes and documentation for data centres. Optimises efficiency in population of data centre space. Ensures adherence to all relevant policies and processes. Uses data centre management tools to plan, record and manage the types of infrastructure installed and the associated power, space and cooling capabilities, usage and actions to meet corporate sustainability targets.
Works under broad direction. Work is often self-initiated. Is fully accountable for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives. Establishes milestones and has a significant role in the delegation of responsibilities.

Investigates all failures to meet availability targets.
Investigates all instances of service non-availability, and instigates remedial activities to the process of ensuring availability.
Manages changes to the live infrastructure, taking account of priorities and other changes, which may impact on service availability and safety. Provides advice to users on the system of prioritisation and the likely timescales for implementation.
Chairs meetings that review changes, such as change advisory boards (CABs), ensuring that changes are expedited to maintain the required infrastructure.
Works with the appropriate level of management in the organisation to create, test and maintain disaster recovery plans for those information systems which support critical business processes.
Knowledge of CASB, Mime-Cast, firewalls, core switches, MPLS, routing, etc.
Ensure that infrastructure of the company is updated regularly in line with evolving requirements
Knowledge of networking in world of IoT, digitalization and robotics.
Role Specific Competencies:
Post Graduate degree in Information Systems or Computer Engineering
• PRINCE2 Practitioner (preferred)
• ITIL v3 Foundation (preferred)
• Job related certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE (mandatory)
• Minimum 10 years in IT infrastructure experience
• Minimum 5 years IT staff management experience
• Demonstrated success with large, complex, and impactful IT project delivery utilizing contemporary technologies and coordinated resources especially on the infrastructure side.
• Experienced in supporting physical and virtual servers / desktops, networked printers, and peripherals in a TCP/IP network environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with others.

• Strong analytical skills having the ability to understand complex processes and scenarios and provide recommendations and solutions
• Expertise in Microsoft packages, including Project, Visio, Power Point, Word and Excel
