Hiring: Head of Engineering – Gas Distribution (Dubai)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead all engineering functions in our gas distribution operations. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement best-in-class safety and engineering standards while leading major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engineering Leadership: Oversee all engineering operations to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Project Management: Lead major engineering projects from design to execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Infrastructure Development: Oversee maintenance, expansion, and modernization of gas distribution networks.
• Innovation & Technology: Integrate new technologies to improve sustainability and operational performance.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate engineering and operational risks.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
• Budget Management: Oversee engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field). A Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• Experience: 15+ years in gas distribution or energy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Technical Expertise: Gas distribution infrastructure, pipeline management, and project execution.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and industry standards.
• Technology & Innovation: Experience in automation, digital transformation, and smart energy solutions is highly desirable.
• Leadership & Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making, operational excellence, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
• Professional Engineering (PE) License or equivalent.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
• NEBOSH or other safety-related certifications are advantageous.
