Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team, supporting two emerging businesses, a Corporate Events Management Agency and the other a Meal Prep Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, ensuring financial stability, and providing expert financial advice to aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping and Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for both businesses. Oversee accounts payable and receivable and manage cash flow.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Analyse financial data to identify trends and advise on cost reduction opportunities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes. Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and advise on tax planning.
• Payroll Management: Administer payroll activities ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
• Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors during audits. Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
• Financial Analysis and Advisory: Provide insightful analysis on financial performance. Advise management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with stakeholders, including management, vendors, and financial institutions.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve financial processes and controls to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
