Hiring Cost Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: 5-6 years of experience in similar role within any manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and calculate the costs of manufacturing processes, including direct and indirect costs.
• Monitor and analyze cost variances between actual and standard costs, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Monitor manufacturing expenses and identify areas for potential cost savings and process improvements.
• Oversee and manage the valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure accurate representation of costs.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to perform regular inventory reconciliations and adjustments.
• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing operations, incorporating cost analysis and projections.
• Provide support in analyzing actual performance against budgets, identifying variances and recommending adjustments.
• Analyze product costs and propose appropriate pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Conduct product cost reviews to ascertain accurate product costs and update pricing models accordingly.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Evaluate the impact of process changes on costs and operational efficiency.
• Prepare accurate and timely cost-related financial reports for management, highlighting cost trends, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies related to cost accounting practices.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations related to cost accounting processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
• 5-6 years of proven experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
• Proficient in cost accounting software and ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
