Senior System Administrator

Hiring Senior System Administrator, Linux/Oracle/
• Oracle DBA on Linux or UNIX platform for UAE Location.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as Oracle DBA on Linux or Unix platform
• Note: Quality of work experience will be rated higher than quantity, meaning candidates with less years of experience might be considered if they are demonstrating exceptional skills
• With vendor management experience in the region
• Any Oracle certification is highly preferred
• All technologies certifications a plus
• Any ITIL certification a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business IT, Management IT, Economical IT, engineering or a related technical discipline
Skills and Competencies
• Expertise in systems and database administration
• Very good knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and architecture
• Very good knowledge of virtualization technologies and products such as VMWare and Oracle VM
• Knowledge of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL
• Very Good knowledge of network infrastructure
• Sound knowledge of backup software and strategies
• Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
• Good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
• Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills
• Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work
• Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
• Good knowledge of health insurance concept
