We are looking for an intermediate Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai and be a part of our long-term ports and terminals strategy. The core work will be structural engineering of maritime structures such as blockwork quay #walls and deck-and piled-jetties. You will design concrete and steel structural members to International Standards using structural design packages.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Undertaking design and planning activities on maritime projects - marinas, ports and harbors.
• Assist with calculations and productions of drawing and documents under the supervision of senior staff.
• Independently prepare engineering related calculations.
• Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details.
• Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
• Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in structural engineering.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 5-10 years of work experience.
• Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
