Clinical Counselor

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Counselor for our Client in Dubai, who is aligned with making a positive impact in our community. A Clinical Counselor is a qualified individual who uses counseling methods to help people manage and overcome mental and emotional issues. Their duties include listening to patients, developing treatment plans, and creating coping strategies.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following functions:
• Assessing patients through detailed conversations, interviews, and observations to determine the appropriate testing or examination.
• Evaluate patient functioning, capabilities or health.
• Diagnosing the patient’s mental and emotional disorders.
• Provide direction and support to all Aman Li Lafia patients.
• Will actively help patients build coping mechanisms to guide them through stressful situations.
• Creating effective treatment plans that include counseling, medication, or other services.
• Working with patient and develop goals.
• Discussing the treatment plan with patient on a regular basis to identify faults or room for improvement.
• Educating patients about appropriate coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations.
• Recording the patient’s progress and changing their treatment plan when needed.
• Counsel patients on mental health or personal achievement
• Holds a Bachelor of Science in the field of Counseling/Social Work/Psychology
• Must be fully licensed to practice in home country
• With valid DHA license/eligibility
• 2-3 years’ experience within the UAE
• Valid basic life support certification
