Junior Sommelier

Looking for a talented junior sommelier to join a well-established award winning Italian restaurant located in Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
• Advanced English – spoken and written
• Solid background in luxury restaurant or hotels, having worked at this level for at least 1 years with a level 2 qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
• 2 year Food and Beverage experience needed in a junior supervisory capacity level
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• To guide, lead and assist in improving innovation, consistency and quality in the Outlet
• The Sommelier recommends and serves wines to the customers and trains all the service employees of the restaurant on wine knowledge and service.
• Should be familiar with worldwide wines, the best “crus” the best vintages and the order in which the wines should be served.
• To satisfy all guests needs in the respective outlet
• To increase team members’ production and motivation
• To ensure high standard is maintained in the restaurant cellar organization, with wine stocks, the wine lists, wine knowledge and the wine service.
• Review the service standards and advice Outlet Manager for wine list, promotional displays, recommending wines
• To manage and develop business levels in the outlet
• To train and Develop team members.
