MCR Operator

Creative Media Solutions is seeking to hire the following position to work within our operations in the UAE.
MCR Operator
Requirements:
• 3 years of experience in Broadcast Environment (MCR/TX experience preferred).
• Knowledge of Monitoring, Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, TX reporting, necessary editing processes, and archiving Playout Automation systems would be advantageous.
• Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts on weekends and public holidays.
• Strong English reading and writing skills
• Good computer literacy
• Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
• Preferably available in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate transmission and satellite record facilities in the Master Control facility.
• Monitor all outgoing channels, and incoming feeds, assess initial faults and notify relevant personnel on faults accordingly.
• Respond to all transmission-related matters that arise in a timely and effective manner.
• Liaise with external bureaus for IFBs, coordinate lines, and make bookings with the third-party supplier(s) for ad-hoc services as required.
• Ingest, transfer and copy material(s) as required, log all transactions and report any technical/equipment faults to the Engineering team.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions
• Prepare to program for future playback
• Ensure the monitoring and adjustment of incoming and outgoing video streams are according to international technical standards.
• Responsible for complete transmission services.
• Creating and playing out graphic overlay events as necessary.
• Switching of live feeds from studios or external sources.
