Cost Engineering Manager - Transformer project / process improvementThis global fasteners company is a market leader in supplying the oil & gas industry. They are seeking to add an experienced Cost Engineering Manager, to lead a transformation project, re-engineering the business processes, and implement change. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead the cost engineering operations in Dubai, and provide the “lynch-pin” between customers, production, and the sales team. Ideally, you are an experienced Cost Engineering Manager with a passion for driving a program of transformation and change.Your duties will include;Leading and developing a team of ( up to 15) multi-disciplined costing, order processing and order entry engineers to develop new products, solutions, and processes.Driving a program of process improvement, streamlining the 360 processes from enquiry-to-order management.Work closely with the sales team to swiftly provide accurate costings for tenders, highlighting any engineering or discrepancies between the RFQ and specification for sales to discuss with the client.Undertakes project and contracts review, ensuing allocation of material to each order and next best solution when negatives/outages of stock.Providing expert advice on machining, supporting the manufacturing processes and production schedule and planning, and designs/refinement of product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.Supplier and subcontract managementCreate and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies and ensuring resource management.Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers’ facilities; ensuring high level expertise in their field or sector.Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will need;BS in engineering10 years and above relevant work experience in Oil & Gas industry / Wellhead / Automotive / Aerospace fasteners industryProven management experience is a must.Master’s degree in engineering preferred.Willingness to relocate to the UAE is essentialYou will need to be able to demonstrate; personnel and project management skills combined with expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes. As part of the Senior Management team you will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring
