Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a Dubai-based construction company. We prefer if the candidate has previous experience in the same field.
Responsibilities:
• Perform closing activities and reconciliations at the end of each month
• Provide appropriate accounting information to the internal team when required.
• In order to facilitate management’s review of accounting transactions and subsequent follow-ups for internal and external audits, it is necessary to maintain general ledger reconciliation.
• Ensure that all costs are captured and accurately reflected in coins
• Reports on inter-company activity to facilitate accurate consolidation of the group’s financial statements
• Reconciliations and reclassifications of deferrals, accruals, investments, subsidiaries and provision accounts.
• Tracking fixed asset ledgers and adding up unused items in stock or fixed assets
• Account analysis to verify the journal entries and balances are correct.
• Working on the stock values and the monthly stock taking process and fixing TB errors resulting from the period-end process.
• Posting the JV to close the month and year, if required.
• Adjusting client accounts and verifying them with the commercial team.
• Responsible for all non-cash transactions.
• A solid understanding of Excel and Microsoft applications
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and IFRS.
