Job Description
• Ensure that all accounting transactions are reported and recorded accurately in compliance with regulations
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis periodically and subsequently provide recommendations to management to capitalize on financial or economic objectives
• Prepare financial statements on an annual basis in accordance with IFRS standards
• Implement robust cash management controls
• Assess financial data and formulate strategic plans to lead organizational objectives
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities to maximize returns on capital investments
• Proactively cooperate with the General Manager and Executive committee and serve as a business advisor and risk advocate
• Train the hotel Finance team to augment their financial skills. Subsequently, develop individual KPIs to ensure that they strive towards their long-term development
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors to ensure that the organization adheres to all financial policies and legislations
• Formulate best practices to streamline business activities and foster a continuous development environment
• Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
• Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
• Build relevant KPIs to measure the performance of ecommerce across countries and channels.
• Prepare holding reporting and monthly dashboards for the management.
• Ensure relevant benchmarks to increase performance and healthy balance between countries.
Minimum Qualifications/education
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Commerce
• Minimum experience
• A minimum of 5 years in a similar role
Skills
• Strong analytical and technical skills in financial analysis and reporting
• Good project management skills
• Knowledge of MS Office, particularly modelling in Excel
• Presentation skills
• Accounting concepts and knowledge of IFRS
• Investment appraisal process and capital budgeting
