Job Description
PURPOSE
• QA Engineer will be responsible for Analyses and understands requirements, devises a test strategy to adequately cover the requirements, develops high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, elaborates scenarios into detailed test cases.
• Reviews test artefacts with Business and Development team members and edits accordingly
• Owns the QA role throughout all projects by: gathering requirements, writing and executing tests (manual and automatic), monitoring test progress, reporting status, logging defects, tracking and testing defect fixes, retesting and delivering
• Works with user and partner teams to develop automated test scripts and extend the automation infrastructure Collaborates with the business and development teams to produce requirements that are well-documented and clear Maintains subject matter expertise for the systems under test and use that expertise to create, maintain and extend the test case library
• Participates in team process improvement to make sure everyone understands development lifecycle. Proficiency with API testing
• Automated testing using Selenium
• Proficient technical skills, and a capability to team up with software engineers to plan and design system integration tests
Key Accountabilities:
• Developing and running new tests, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Understanding and Analyzing the Application Under Test in terms of Object Identification - selenium automation testing roles and responsibilities
Operational:
• Champions a structured approach
• Analyze and clarification of requirements with a customer or a business
• Choose selenium tools and Configuring Selenium Test Environment
• Involvement in Selenium Environment Setup.
• Automation Framework Design and Implementation.
• Creating Test scenarios and Collecting Test Data.
• Identifying end-to-end scenarios and code modularity.
• Implementing JUnit or TestNG Test Automation framework and developing automation infrastructure.
• Creating reusable components - selenium tester roles and responsibilities
• Creating and enhancing Test Cases (Test Scripts) using Element locators, WebDriver methods, Java programming concepts, and TestNG Annotations.
• Create test scripts.
• Excellent manual testing skills.
• Strong experience on test automation using Selenium.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in API testing
