Senior Telecommunications Engineer

SCP is seeking Senior Telecommunications Engineers with experience in network architecture design and implementation. Multiple positions are currently available to assist clients in the Financial, Healthcare, IT, and Telecommunicaitons sectors. The candidate is expected to analyze network data and determine network optimization options. This includes identifying and solving potential future network bandwidth traffic choke points and network survivability. The candidate is expected to review network topologies and configurations as needed an advise clients on potential solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience;

- Working understanding of NMS Systems;

- Experience in the design and planning of complex voice and data transport networks

- Experience configuring DWDM, SDH, and Ethernet, IP, and other optical technologies networks;

- Experience in creating network topical configurations using AutoCAD, as well as producing other project graphics for a variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a Network Operations Center

- Resourceful and self-motivated

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to articulate complex ideas in a simplified way tailored to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proficient in English both written and spoken;

- Good interpersonal skills;

- Demonstrated sound judgement; and

- Ability to efficiently organize, plan, and prioritize a variety of complex tasks.
