الوصف الوظيفي The Port Technical Manager is accountable for daily technical operations including manufacturing and support ensuring shipyard production goals are met in line with the ports strategic objectives and to promote economic growth. In conjunction with the Port Manager, the post holder designs, manages and executes technical policy and manages the performance of the departmental employees. The Technical Manager has full cost and revenue responsibility and develops and maintains the departmental budget striving to deliver best value through efficient management of the departmental resources or external contractors as well as managing the quality of workmanship through implementation of best practice initiatives. المهارات ● Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities and established shipyard goals ● Directs and coordinates technical operations ● Establishes and maintains shipyard production goals to ensure production schedules are met ● Directs all phases of steel fabrication, assembly and erection, piping fabrication and installation, electrical systems fabrication and installation and painting ● Draft scopes of work to carry out minor projects ● Identify and implement cost savings on equipment ● Manages technical operations and translates company strategies into tactical plans; creates and prioritizes necessary resources and steps required to accomplish goals on time ● In conjunction with the port manager designs, manages and executes policies to deliver business strategy ● Ensures product quality control goals are met and maintained for shipyard ● Apply knowledge of marine engineering principles as applicable to vessel design, new construction and repairs of ships and ships system. ● Review and interpret designs, drawings & specifications, recommend changes to plans and specifications to meet actual vessel conditions ● Develop and manages technical budget ● Manage tenders and procurement of contractors ● Deliver best value through correct procurement and risk management procedures ● Procure and manage external services as required ● Define and implement cost saving opportunities Qualifications, Experience and Skills ● Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent HND (UK NQF Level 5) ● Minimum 10 years’ experience as a technical manager or other management level responsibilities in a shipyard environment ● Considerable knowledge in all areas of shipbuilding and repair ● Practical, production oriented, organized individual, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously ● Proven ability in successfully managing budgets, teams and monitoring/ controlling projects ● Proven ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and effective channels of communication in a pressurized and time sensitive environment ● Experience in managing a large culturally diverse workforce تفاصيل الوظيفة https://www.bayt.com/ar/uae/jobs/technical-manager-4495407/ |
