SCOPE OF ROLE
To direct and manage trading activities and achieve net profit targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Responsible for the profitability and performance of all oil commodities and refinery.
Development and implementation of full proof trading plans that will optimize trading activities, PE assets and cash flows.
Development and regularly updating of pricing strategies.
Maintain appropriate commodity financial risk management policies, procedures, limits, and performance measures.
Pricing of each commodity in conjunction to current market dynamics.
Set pricing benchmark and adjusting price of commodities in conjunction to cost of blending.
Monitoring geographical, time and blending arbitrage opportunities for 10 PPM and MHC blending components.
Determine overall trading activities are successfully controlled through real time market pricing.
Create more blending ways and check availability to sell blended commodities.
Evaluating markets, market trends and communicating with trading team domestically and internationally.
Demonstrated ability to deeply understand the complex markets that PE is trading into.
Analyzed each specific product market, including competitors’ assessments leveraging a reasonable level of understanding of the economics of downstream refining and logistics.
Source special buyers in local and international market to sell commodities.
Negotiating term and spot contracts for sales and purchases of various commodities and blended stocks.
Build strong relationships with other 3rd party traders enabling effective negotiation with parties coming from a wide range of countries and cultures.
Oversee and manage credit risk in conjunction with PE counterparty credit risk team.
Provide regular market brief to the trading team to align on one trading strategy to maximize value capture.
Effective management of network of supply and distribution to get the right commodity, at the right time and at the right price.
Support trading relationships with counterparties through face-to-face meetings and travel when required.
Analyze trading calls and take swift and rational decisions to sell commodities for profit.
Accurate and timely trade capture, position matching, marking and commercial margin calculation / validation.
Forecast demand and supply of commodities market.
Collaborate with Operations team and Finance team, to ensure effective optimization of PE’s assets in short, medium, and long term.
Adjust commodity financial risk management decisions around PE’s physical inventory price risk and opportunities.
Maintain accountability for inventory gains or losses attributed to volumetric and price fluctuations.
Liaison with physical traders and asset managers on market trends, optimizing opportunities and optimal use of discretionary physical inventory.
Provide market and commercial input to Top Management on market dynamics.
المهارات
8-10 years of relevant experience in oil commodities company.
Strong interpersonal skills to deal with Stakeholders in international market
Demonstrated ability to prepare and give business presentations to the Board.
