Logistic Coordinator

Hiring a Logistic Coordinator for a Medical Equipment and Surgical Consumables Distributor client in Dubai.
Requirements:
• Good working knowledge with at least 5-10 years of working experience in Purchasing & Logistics (Imports).
• Check invoices/shipping documents against source documents and correct any errors.
• Keep files and use them as reference for the future.
• Produce reports and statistics, review performance and identify cost-saving possibilities.
• Reconcile additional costs for inbound raw material logistics.
• Process any supply/logistics provider complaints.
• Good working knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PDF others)
• Knowledge with ERP system
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain or relevant field is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create purchase orders and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain information and record of goods bought and received; ensure it is up to date and accurate.
• Work with Senior Purchasing and Logistics to ensure the most economical methods of transport are used for importation.
• Make cost comparisons and provide sourcing recommendations after negotiations.
• Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
• Streamlines shipping and transportation processes.
• Receives products and coordinates delivery.
• Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
• Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
