Hiring Senior Site Planning Engineer
Experience would have to include:
• To ensure the preparation and submission by the Contractor of a construction programmer which meets the requirements of the construction contract, including:
• Logic Network (CPM) including Critical Paths
• Short construction activities
• Activities tabular schedules
• Bar Chart schedules
• Shop drawings and materials submission and approval schedules
• Procurement schedules
• Each activity having a clear defined quantity, duration, cost, manpower and equipment resource
• Review and approve Contractors construction programme for compliance with the Clients priorities, Construction Contract requirements, Employer Site Procedures Manual and major planning standards and techniques.
• Evaluate the contractors detailed plan including equipment mobilization, material procurement and delivery of shop drawings
• Identify potential problem areas and obstacles that may affect the works and progress and recommend appropriate actions
• Check as per construction contract the competence and suitability of major subcontractors and suppliers the Contractor proposed to engage
• Advise and agree on the schedule for submission and the types of reports to be prepared
• When necessary, establish and implement procedures for giving the Contractor possession of the Site as stipulated by the Construction Contract in accordance with the agreed programme
• Require the Contractor to provide a cash-flow projection to assist with monitoring project financing
• Require the Contractor to provide an activity-value schedule to assist in progress measurement
• Review of claims submitted by Contractor for any Extension of Time(EOT)
• Well aware of Authorities and regulatory bodies for their involvement in project life cycle.
• Well aware of FIDIC and other standard construction documents
• Well aware of specialized trades such a MEP, façade works, infrastructure, landscaping etc. in conjunction with civil works
• Preference shall be given to those fitting the following profile:
• Already be a resident of the U.A.E.
• Having a minimum of 8 year’s Dubai civil construction experience
• Having a minimum of 15 years total relevant construction experience
• Having a minimum of 3 years Dubai consultancy experience
• Conversant in English (written, spoken & presentation skills)
• Familiarity with the latest Project Management tools, including Primavera 6
• Having a BSc in Civil Engineering
