Senior Design Architect

Hiring Senior Design Architect required for projects in Dubai, permanent position.
1.  Job Brief
To guide the Architectural Design Team to ensure delivery of a large portfolio of projects, from initial vision to operation either through our in-house Design Team or through external partners.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
• Ensures design work is completed on time and adheres to the established specifications and standards
• Assist in developing and maintain the Design Programmed
• Facilitate and minute weekly coordination meetings with the client, authorities and relevant sub consultants
• To advise and support on the project delivery
• To ensure effective communication and negotiation between client and other design team
• To ensure the highest standards of service are delivered by ensuring a positive and proactive approach is maintained throughout the team to ensure continued client satisfaction is achieved, continually monitoring and improving the service
• To make recommendations on design and technical issues
• Managing the design process using his/her commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
• Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and his/her obligations in the development of a building design
• To encourage and promote the continuous improvement of working methods
• Developing and maintain the Project Design Team work programme in such a way as to ensure the most economic and effective use of resources and the completion of design projects in line with target timescales
Educational Background/ Experience
• Must hold a B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering
• Minimum 15 years’ work experience in related field
• Minimum 5 years consultancy experience
• Must be a bilingual (Arabic / English)
Computer Skills
• Should have knowledge in computer software in particular:
• AutoCAD, Photoshop & Revit
Other Skills:
• To manage a design team and the design from feasibility to completion would be an advantage
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with design programme
• Experience in leading design teams would be an advantage
• Experience in designing High Rise, Residential & Hotels projects in Dubai
• Capability of independently liaising with Clients and Contractors
• Familiarity with Dubai local authority regulations
• Immediately available would be preferred
