الوصف الوظيفي The Head Nurse of infection prevention and control is responsible for effectively managing and supervising the nursing department in delivering excellent and consistent IPC service to patients. He/she will oversee the IPC functions of the organization, provide leadership to the team and perform strategic planning to meet the long term needs of IPC. Reporting to the CNO, he/she will be expected to collaborate with other head nurses to put in place best practices and efficient processes for the smooth delivery of service to patients. Job Description: Staff Management The Head Nurse is responsible for training, directing and assigning duties to ensure staff are well trained to perform their work assignments. He/she is also involved in the monitoring and evaluation of work/unit performance to provide the best patient care. He/she serves as a link between the CNO, staff, doctors and other departments to facilitate effective IPC practices within the organisation. Nursing Operations The Head Nurse oversees the IPC operational and clinical activities in the organization. He/she develops and implements nursing care guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure smooth delivery of quality patient care, and that activities are aligned with the organizational goals. He/she must also ensure that the nursing services meet the international standards of IPC best practices and complies with the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) requirements and the UAE federal laws. Patient Care The Head Nurse monitors the competent delivery of IPC services and the provision of highest level of safety and quality care at all times. He/she ensures all types of needs, concerns, and issues are handled in a professional manner. He/she maintains proper documentation of IPC services, and reviews records to analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of the care provided by the nursing department. Financial Management The Head Nurse prepares capex and utilize resources within the IC functions. He/she supervises and oversees the inventory of the IPC nursing supplies by monitoring usage, identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies, approving requisition and cost allocations المهارات Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse license as per the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) regulatory requirements Minimum Experience: 5+ years of IPC specific nursing experience post qualification, preferably in an accredited hospital setting. Documented IPC/IC/Public health qualification. Has or working towards CIC qualification. Job-Specific Skills: Excellent knowledge of the healthcare industry and solid understanding of the best practices in nursing and IPC procedures. Fluency in English. Arabic would be desirable.
