Job Purpose
The role of Support Services Manager is a senior position, overseeing all the Service departments to improve organisational processes and enhance quality, productivity and efficiency, whilst liaising with board members, club members, membership applicants and department managers.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the various functions of the operations of the club, including the Reception/Administration, Membership, HR, Maintenance, IT, Communications/Marketing and Regulatory Compliance
Communicate with Club members on enquiries
Assist in developing initiatives to increase participation in sailing activities and membership engagement on F&B;events
Organise interactive open days for non-members and actively engage
Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures
Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with team members at all levels to provide support, improve staff morale and performance
Support the administrative needs of the board of directors
Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Ensure quality customer service
Manage budgets and forecasts
Oversee and Implement marketing strategies
Perform appraisals and monitor KPIs
Act as a rotational duty manager where required
Communications & Working Relationship
Internal:
Ability to direct and supervise
Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
External:
Ambassador for the club always promoting the facility, networking and relationship building in the local and international communities

Qualifications/Skills
A degree in business administration, business management, or other relevant degree
At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position
Experience in management, operations and leadership
Understanding of general finance, budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet management
Leadership
