This role will be fully responsible for managing the bulk vessels Chartered by the Company, as well as sourcing suitable vessels to perform its bookings. He or she will be solely responsible for overall chartering operations for the company, including forming a charter party. The Chartering Manager will keep in constant contact with brokers, charterers and owners and will be using industry leading systems and methodology to enhance its performance. He or she will be assigned to its best fitting market and client list, and will be encouraged to penetrate and develop it further in the vessel owning prospects.
Essential Duties
Maximize earnings for business segment;
Managing all aspects of chartering operations such as the procurement of cargo vessels and the preparation of charter party formation and documentation;
Make voyage calculations and compare possibilities in accordance with market trends and corporate policies;
Maintain compliance with relevant international maritime regulatory bodies such as IMO, ICS, etc;
Negotiating and forming charter parties with charterers/operators/brokers;
Making charter party details available to operators;
Sourcing and managing spot chartering and time chartering;
Developing and maintaining broker portfolio;
Obtaining the best freight and terms including bunkering operations;
Taking full decisions for all working deals / contracts;
Forwarding all the monetary affairs from delivery of the vessel until redelivery.
المهارات
Minimum of 4 year of experience in dry bulk chartering;
Experience in similar chartering position;
Detailed understanding and knowledge of freight and cargo handling;
Knowledge of shipping vessels and familiar with all relevant laws and regulations;
Affluent in English.
Excellent organizational and communication skills;
Strong negotiator and ability to outperform market levels;
Capability to perform feasibility and competitive analysis;
Team player who has the discipline to work along and meet pre-defined deadline;
Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment;
Ability to work effectively under pressure;
Ability to use initiative and problem solve;
Determination to grow within the business.
