NEW AND EXCLUSIVE POSITION.

Merchandiser / Category Buyer Required.  Our client is a well established Internet Company, they have been the market leader in the GCC for the past 5 year’s and due to the development of a superapp they are establishing a new vertical focusing on Grocery Delivery.  Therefore a requirement has arisen for a buyer with a FMCG or Retail background to join their award winning team.

This position needs a functional expert to create and lead the GCC category vision driving performance across multiple categories with a predominant focus on FMCG. You’ll be a key part of the decision making process, and therefore expected to bring your out of the box thinking to help shape and influence the direction of the business.

The role encompasses all aspects of Category Management including ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, promotional planning and securing income for marketing and media support.

About You…
• You will be a proven Category Manager, Buyer or Range Manager with experience in FMCG Retail or the Wholesale sector.
• You will have the ability to confidently demonstrate tenacity, determination and assertiveness in pursuit of a commercially successful outcome.
• You will be a problem solver, numerate and build relationships internally and externally through the use of effective negotiating and influencing skills.
• Can Demonstrate creation and implementation of Category strategy, to include the delivery of Category plans to ensure that financial targets are met and create promotional plans including volume forecasts.
