Deputy Manager – Materials Management

The purpose of the Deputy Manager – Materials Management is to liaise between the Logistics, Overlay and Procurement functions to support with the internal validation of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E;) requirements across Expo 2020 Functions and to ensure that the correct materials are received, tracked, distributed and incorporated into a legacy strategy. In addition, asset management of non-Expo 2020 assets that will touch the Logistics supply chain, e.g. for International Participants and Official Partners.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

- Build and integrate the FF&E;Load in/Load out timeline across Expo 2020 Function operations and external stakeholder operations;

- In collaboration with Overlay and Procurement, establish working relationships with personnel from major suppliers in order to maximize efficiency in the receipt, tracking and delivery of FFE, tools and stationery along with the dissolution strategy;

- Manage with development of the Material Logistics database and Materials item catalogue;

- Manage procurement of materials on SAP;

- Manage all materials tracking systems;

- Provide assistance to the Senior Manager and Managers of Materials Management in the training of staff in procedures for this work stream;

- Lead responsibly and proficiently, providing effective line management to direct reports;

- Participate in the development of a workforce plan for the Materials Management work stream to ensure the availability of required resources;

- Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to, specifically to include all responsibilities and accountabilities associated with the Expo 2020 Health and Safety Policy and assurance standards.

المهارات
4+ years’ experience in operational logistics work specifically procurement and SAP systems at Deputy Manager level or above, as well as:

- A Bachelors Degree within a relevant field;

- Experience of developing new and / or existing supply chains in a practical implementation and operational environment;

- Experience of working with or for third party logistics contractors;

- Understanding of key performance drivers in the supply chain and proven track record of delivering cost effective yet service oriented results;

- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project based environment with emphasis on timelines and delivery of projects on time and in budget;

- Excellent programme management skills.
