n Application Laboratory Technician with the global leader in the creation of Flavours and Fragrances, and providing critical support for our Creative Fragrances Development team, and based in Dubai - Your future position?

As a ‘Creative Fragrances Application Lab Technician’ within the Technical Team, you will work together with the Application Laboratory Technician’s to prepare Fragrance applications. You will support the Application team to prepare Fragrance applications in different bases meeting the needs of Creative and Development teams under the guidance and ensure the quality, precision, and accuracy thereof.

You will be based in our Dubai Media City office and will report into the Application Lab Manager for North Africa and the Middle East. The role offers excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development.

In this role, you will:

Bring your passion:

• Assist in applying fragrances to consumer products when assigned.
• Assist in the administration of materials and laboratory organisation.
• Perform colour matching and recommend dyes as per client request.

Utilise the very best of you:

• Ability to follow SOP’s and to prepare applications with quality, speed and accuracy.
• Demonstrate a basic ability in formulation development and preparation of internal bases.

Drive efficiencies and excellence:

• Ensure and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and lab equipment in accordance with EH&S;guidelines and good laboratory practices.
• Administration of sample requests and ordering of fragrance oils.
• Record and communicate results accurately and promptly.
• Management of fragrance oils, customer base and internal base inventories.

The requirements to fulfil the role successfully are:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a Fragrance Applications/Compounding or Chemicals or a related laboratory environment.
• Have a strong affinity and interest in Fragrances.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Additional proficiency and knowledge of other languages like Arabic or French is a plus.
• Able to demonstrate proficiency in using common PC applications.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of - lab documentation protocol and handling lab equipment’s and chemicals used to perform lab functions.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to give attention to details.
• A flexible team player with a sense of facilitation and strong organisational skills.
