General Manager - Shipyard

الوصف الوظيفي
Our client requires a General Manager for their shipping yards, responsible for Maintenance, repair off all vessels. You will manage and develop the implementation of the operational strategy, optimizing all resources to meet business targets.

▪ Oversee the operations to ensure timely and accurate execution of production schedules and plans for all shipyard projects, thus ensuring that plans and requirements pertaining to production works, shipyard resources, manpower and materials are fulfilled.
▪ Ensure that all projects and customer vessels are delivered on time, cost efficiently and as per client expectations as well as international ship building standards.
▪ Oversee the engineering works for the shipyard projects to ensure the achievement of architectural/ structural requirements, in line with applicable engineering and design principles and industry standards.
▪ Manage ongoing key customer relationships to support the successful completion of projects, as well as ensure critical customer issues are handled carefully to avoid affecting long-term relationships.
▪ Oversee the Port Operations to ensure the Port and related facilities are operated efficiently and the objectives are accomplished in line with the overall shipyard’s business objectives.

المهارات
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or equivalent
• Preferably a Master’s Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture
• Preferably Master’s Degree in Management
• Minimum 15 years of experience in ship building and repair; with at least 6 years of experience in a managerial position
