The Manager - Data & Insights is responsible for enabling the creation of value from Expo 2020 data assets (including the data assets of stakeholders). This individual will liaise between departments and the Data & Insights team, relaying relevant department updates and opportunities for data modelling activities. They are tasked with enabling DG with the right data-based insights within their respective area of expertise and report key insights for executive stakeholders.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Develop a thorough knowledge of department business areas, and have an understanding of how they affect Expo 2020’s goals;

- Develop data collection methods, liaise with data owners for data for the same, establish and deliver tools, approaches and methodologies to support the generation of information from data assets;

- Champion the roll-out of event-time strategic reporting capabilities (SAP Board Room, SAC, among other tools), facilitate data sharing with Participants, and relevant Higher Committee stakeholders;

- Coordinate with different functional teams (including IFT, Commercial, etc.) to implement models and monitor outcomes and develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy;

- Quality review and analysis of information provided by Departments and Functions, assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques, coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes;

- Provide assistance where required in the planning and implementation of Data Governance activities involving internal stakeholders and aligning external databases with Expo 2020’s own;

- Report all insights/information generated from models/simulations to executive level stakeholders, including the Director General and Expo 2020 Board;

- Facilitate data analytics reports and dashboards to senior management and internal management committees (including the VP – PMO, Director – PRM.

المهارات
6+ years’ experience in engineering, MBA or a similar, as well as:

- A Bachelors Degree within a relevant field;

- Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development;

- Experience using core reporting tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Expert);

- Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills;

- Experience using reporting tools such as SAC, SAP Board Room, Tableau or other tools;

- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS, etc.) to understand data and draw insights from large data sets;

- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications;

- Strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
