Manager - Central Planning (VMA)

The purpose of Venue Management, Manager – Central Planning is to work within the Venue Management central planning team managing the planning and coordination of the site wide events over Expo 2020.
This role will work with all internal business departments to plan an integrated operation and involve engagement with all relevant and dependent external partners.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

- Work with senior management in leading the operational planning, coordination and delivery of the site wide events throughout Expo, including and not limited to National Days, Parades, Special Days;

- International Participants and Expo lead events that require integration with multiple functions, departments and zones or venues;

- Coordinate the delivery and integration of Functions and Departments to ensure integration into C3 plans;

- Update the Venue Management planning and delivery programme relevant to site wide operations;

- Coordinate workgroups over the development of the site wide events operational planning;

- Participate in workshops and workgroups as required

- Lead the delivery of functional and site wide operational plans and associated documentation;

- Lead cross-functional integrated planning sessions, ensuring all Functions and Departments operations are aligned and incorporated into the Expo Site Operations Plan;

- Identify strategies and opportunities to improve venue and event operations;

- Support in the delivery of the operational Risk Register.

المهارات
6+ years’ experience in a manager role working on a previous major event or leisure attraction with specific experience related to planning and operations;

- A bachelors degree within a relevant field;

- Programme and project management experience supporting large complex projects;

- Knowledge across all key event operational functions;

- Experience in planning transition to operations;

- Experience in working with senior multi-agency Government partners and stakeholders;

- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;

- Understanding of UAE (United Arab Emirates) culture and heritage.
