You will be working as a Senior Engineer - Sales Support and will be a part of the Industrial Automation Business for Measurement and Analytics business line based in Dubai, UAE.
In this role, you will be creating and completing winning bids, estimations and quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements or budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin of IAMA sales strategy for UAE & Oversight Countries to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems in a profitable way.
Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.
Your responsibilities

Target: Formulating competitive bids, estimates and quotations, considering best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs and abiding by all Local country or BU or Division & Group compliance and risk review guidelines.
Preparation: Managing the preparation of all technical (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis)) and if necessary project management (e.g. quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning) aspects of the bid, estimate and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions and maintains all price back up of estimation from 3rd party vendors and ABB factories.
Coordination: Visiting customers as part of project bids to clear the technical phase of the projects in accordance with bid, estimate and quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
Coordinating with field engineer sales and INOPC (to support bid, estimation preparation
such as 3rd party quotes, risk review and necessary approvals).
Documentation: Collecting, processing to order handling and archives documentation regarding the offer or order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process.
Reporting the status of the bids, estimates and quotations and time and effort spent using defined tools and collects and analyses the reasons for tenders being lostand won.
Risk: Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels.
Providing information and participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy.
Customer relations: Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs.
Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Providing any necessary technical support to
Sales Managers during technical meetings with customers.
Supplier selection: Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers to check match with specifications.
Collaborating with supply chain management to coordinate
requests to subcontractors.

المهارات
A bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in Tendering, Bidding, costing and quotation for instrumentation products like flow meter, temperature controls etc.
Strong communication and leadership skill
