Trade Operations Manager

To plan, manage and control the activities of the assigned Trade Function & Trade Finance. Responsible
for oversight of all operational activities, and their associated costs which impact the P&L;results of the
Trades.

Main Responsibilities:
To effectively manage the operational risks associated with complex structured transactions covering
off and understanding the credit market and settlement risks
 Responsible for risk management of contracts.
 Ensuring deal entry and trade execution is effective, robust and in line with established processes.
 Responsible for daily interaction and administration of all trades with regard to current operation,
contracts and support in negotiations and deal structures of trade.
 Perform supervision of all transactions to ensure compliance and governance to each transaction and
make sure the trade documents are all aligned to all government / world trade standards
 Review the policies and procedures related to Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Anti Money
Laundering (AML) related to segments
 Proactive analysis and resolving trade data discrepancies with respective stakeholders and
counterparts in accordance with agreed terms.
 Reviewing and administering of Sales/purchase contracts in terms of pricing, payment, appropriate
trade finance instrument, required shipping documents and provide advice to respective stake holders.
 Ensuring timely issuance and scrutinizing of export L/Cs, Bank Guarantees, Standby L/Cs and arranging
required amendments before shipments.
 To develop and manage effective controls and reporting in customs, insurance and other related
logistics disciplines
 Liaison with accountants on cash flow, bank loans, outstanding LC payments, providing weekly and
monthly report to CFO.
 Review Export LC and provide to buyers post negotiation of terms and conditions, verification,
examination and presentation of documents under export LCs and collection.
 Follow up with Banks for negotiation, acceptance and payments, discounting of LC payments, validation
and discounting of bill of exchange.
 Maintain strategic business relations with agents, suppliers, client’s and business partners.
 Any other responsibilities as envisaged by the Group CEO from time to time
