Role Description and Purpose

The role will involve commercial and operational activities in a fast-moving environment. Reload Logistics is a young and dynamic company that has experienced fast growth and recognised as a lead player amongst Freight Forwarders in Southern Africa.

The Commercial and Operations Controller will provide support and oversee the day-to-day activities through local teams.

Localisation and Role Scope

Role base: United Arab Emirates

Role relationships and teams: Dubai, DRC, Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Angola, Namibia.

Reporting line

Reports to: Commercial and Operations Manager

Main responsibilities

Manage in-house Logistics System (Salesforce):

· Group contracts and exposure consolidation;

· Quotation and Contract Management

· Ensure smooth communication flows with stakeholders for quotation and pricing

· Ensure all deviations from pricing rules are escalated to Group Management

· Monthly Logistics Closing

· Develop and implement group CRM

Price Benchmarking:

· Affiliates vs Affiliates

· Group vs Affiliates

· Group/Affiliates vs Competitors

Consolidation Data Management:

· Monthly stocks report and movement overview plus reconciliation with Group Finance (incl RACI)

· Average storage time

· Ensure accurate tracking of stock for regular client updates and timely movements

Insurance Compliance Review

· Review current insurance in place

· Support in annual renewal process

· Follow-up on periodic declaration as required

Process Review and Implementation

· Ensure process register up to date in centralized system (with pre-approved nomenclature

· Include RACI for each sub process

· Support to IT team as required for testing/implementation of new functionalities

Role requirements

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Logistics / Trading Industry

· Logistics qualification

· Good analytical and excel skills

· Proactive and dynamic mindset

· Excellent communication skills

· Willing to travel to Southern Africa as required
