Safety Advisor

BWP are currently representing a major consultancy with a large portfolio of projects in the Middle East. They have an opening for a Health & Safety Manager who will be responsible for their transportation projects.  Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the HSE activities between the client, contractors and subcontractors.
Implement and maintain all documentation and procedures including the OHSE Management System needed for the project
Oversee the ongoing OHSE hazard identification, risk assessment determination and implementation of necessary control measures
Mentor and advise all employees with regards to HSE requirements in order guarantee HSE technical and regulatory compliance
Implement and perform Audits and Inspections
Ensure all employees have required relevant training
Oversee accident investigations
Monitor and implement HSE reports with the progress of activities - incidents, near misses, KPIs etc.
Organise and coordinate emergency response exercises
Develop and maintain documentation for Health and Safety Management Review
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience
Degree educated
Must have previously worked in the construction of rail projects
Previous Middle East experience is beneficial
