Job Overview: Manages Lump Sum Turn Key EPC or EPFI (Engineer Procure Construct, or Engineer Procure Fabricate and Install) Projects in the range of $300m to $1B (typical).  Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Responsible for Management and Execution of all phases of the project, a member of Qatar Leadership Team.
Responsible for Strategic Leadership of onshore and offshore Projects (or pursuits).
Represents McDermott in front of the Client and is responsible for client satisfaction.
Has bottom line responsibility for all aspects of the performance of the project (technical, schedule, costs, quality and safety).
Ensures projects compliance with BMS policies and legal requirements.
Responsible for delivering the project at as-sold GP (or better) and responsible for accurate forecasting.
Responsible for managing project risks and opportunities.
Establishing a high-performance safety culture.
May be assigned to lead a bid team, execute capture strategy, and lead technical & commercial bid efforts in conjunction with Proposal & Estimating department.
Responsible for Management of all phases of a projects.
Delivering the Project in accordance with the approved budget and baseline schedule.
Ensuring the Project activities adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
Ensuring the Project activities adhere to the requirements of the HSE Management System.
Responsible for the development, approval and implementation of Project Execution Plan.
Oversees the planning and resource allocation of personnel throughout the project.
Define role, responsibilities and authorities for reportees.
Effectively delegates authority and responsibility.
Ensures that the Main Contract and Subcontracts are is correctly administered, including agreement to the variations to the scope of work.
Establish & maintain relationships with the Client & Subcontractors.
Drives the resolution of issues or conflicts between departments or with the Client.
Monitors and manages the project risk profile with the assistance of relevant departments.
Ensure compliance with the contract in all aspects.
Prepares and issues reports to the Client in accordance with contract requirements.
Liaises with the Client and key subcontractors as required.
Arranges and attends meetings with the Client and subcontractors as required.
Ensures that all written documentation required under the contract is prepared and submitted on time and in accordance with contract requirements.
Ensures that all QA and HSE policies and practices are properly administered and executed.
Ensures that all personnel training requirements are met.
Ensures that the Contract is properly administered, especially protection of our contractual rights, and maximization of the opportunities, including negotiation of variations to the scope of work.
Oversees the management of change.
Ensures robust decision-making process is utilized and recorded.
Overseeing contingency planning and lessons learnt for the Engineering, Fabrication,
Construction and Installation scope.
Represents McDermott in all meetings
Ensures that the close out activities are properly performed, and documents submitted as required by the contract and McDermott Close out Procedure.
المهارات
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Project Manager role
Experience in managing Large Lump Sum Turn Key Projects
Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject.
PMP preferred
Post Graduate Management qualification an advantage.
Delivery track record of LS EPC Projects.
Experience in LNG or Offsites and Utilities/Experience of managing a consortium or JV
Qatar knowledge and Experience would be an asset.
International experience leading multi-cultural projects
Proven track record in successful leadership of lump sum turn key projects (in excess of $300million) a pre-requisite.
Broad technical knowledge and leadership experience of all aspects of project delivery including engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, construction, project controls and contract management.
Effective communicator with client, executive management, project team, and venders.
Experienced at presenting to Executive management
Skilled negotiator
